Today we're chatting Spring outfit options and nothing warms my heart more!
If you're like me, you're already thinking about Spring and Summer.
With that comes adorable dresses with cute boots or sandals!
I'm not a big shopper, so I try to buy items that I can transition from season to season. I find that dresses are the easiest to do this with so I buy a lot of dresses! You can easily take a cute spring dress and throw tights and a blazer and a pair of boots to make it transition from summer to fall. With this said, I do the same for some of the dresses I've worn in the winter. Obviously material and pattern make a huge difference so I would stick with solid colors and fabrics that are easy to transition in your climate. In Houston, we don't have a real winter so I would never purchase a sweater dress as a "transitional item." Get what I'm sayin'? This will stretch your closet tremendously!
You also have to learn to work with what you've got. You can easily take a dress and change its accessories to dress it up for work, make it casual for happy hour with the girls or make it hot for date night with your guy! It's crazy what shoes, a bag and jewelry can do to an outfit.
I've put together a few spring outfits to show exactly what I'm talking about! So here you have it:
All three of these Spring Kiki La'Rue dresses perfectly transition into 3 Spring outfits!
{I love pearls for the office, boots for HH and those leopard pumps for a night out!}
{Tights and pumps are often in my work outfits. Sandals and a casual bag can dress down an outfit and studded accessories for a night out!}
{I love blazers with cute dresses for the office. Boots and a casual bag for HH and sexy heels and nice jewelry for date night!}
You absolutely can take a single dress or clothing item in your closet and turn it into multiple outfits! My best advice would be looking through our favorite little website Pinterest for ideas! I love to pin cute outfits I see and then recreate them in my closet! Sometimes it just takes seeing them put together to get you to think outside the box!
So there you have it! More ways to stretch the clothing you already have to create new Spring outfits!!
Last but not least, I must rave about my new
Tide Pods.
I'm not a big laundry girl. Mainly because I feel like it takes forever because I let it pile up until there is one shirt hanging in my closet! Well my friends at Tide have made it one step easier to getting that laundry CLEAN with a powerful 3-in-1 detergent that cleans, brightens, and fights stains.
The new 3-in-1 Tide Pods are seriously the easiest detergent I have ever used! You simply throw the pod into the wash with your clothes and off you go! They are the only 3-chamber unit dose on the market and just one removes more stains than 6 caps of the liquid bargain brand. (Based on stain removal performance of one pac of Tide Pods vs. 6 doses of the leading liquid bargain brand base variant in a standard top loading machine.)

No more spilling detergent or having it drip down the side of the cup onto my cabinets. No more sudding out the washing machine. And yes, I've done that! Our washing machine has the little pull-out detergent box. Well this smart lady filled that baby up the first time using it not even considering that the detergent I was using was that "condensed formula" detergent so I had soap suds all over the laundry room! NONE OF THAT ANYMORE! The pods fixed my laundry issues and my sheets smell heavenly!! I'm definitely a TIDE POD lady for life! Pop in a whole new kind of clean with Tide Pods.

For me it’s a classic button down white shirt, it goes with skirts, suits and instantly classes up my favorite jeans, it can be worn alone or layered under a cardi or jacket, that’s definitely 3-in-1 action right there! Second place would be Black Skinny Jeans as I can wear those with longer jackets for casual Friday at the office and then still rock them on the weekends too!

For me, it's leggings...I can wear them with a sweatshirt and Sperry's/Sneakers for a casual look, wear them to work-out, or wear them with a nice sweater and riding boots for a dressier look. Who doesn't love pants with an elastic waist band??

I have to go with my jeans! Since I am pregnant and going in for my c-section next week, the choices are getting limited. I can wear them with loafers and a long sleeve t-shirt or dress them up with flats and a fitted sweater. I can always add a necklace or scarf and create and additional look as well. sonyadmorris@gmail.com
