My Weekend

I barely rolled out of bed this morning.
Seriously. It was one of those "Can I please just call in sick and never leave this bed today?" Monday mornings for me and usually I dont feel like this.
Thankfully I shook that shit as soon as I got up!

My weekend was pretty relaxed.
I spent the night with my friend Jamie Friday night and had a girl's night.
We watched this movie called Words. Pretty decent movie and not a total chick flick!

We woke Saturday and had brunch for our best friend Kate's birthday at our favorite little neighborhood restaurant Benji's. If you live near the Washington Corridor in Houston you should definietly check out their brunch and happy hour! Its delicious and NOT crazy overpriced like most places in the area.

We then spend some time in Rice Village shopping for her birthday present. Ive always kinda stayed away from the Rice Village Boutiques because Im not a fan of paying $100 for a blouse that could easily be from Forever 21. Okay, maybe the quality is a little better than Forever 21, but Im still not into breaking the bank for a shirt. In case you havent caught on, I dont like paying designer prices. No matter how much money I have, I will NEVER be okay with that. Purses and cars are my ONLY exception and thats because I only pay top dollar for those about once every 4 years. Im a Kiki La'Rue girl for a reason! Anywho, I actually found a few shops that had amazing sales going on. Apparently everyone is clearing out their stores for fall so I ended up swiping 2 dresses for Kate from Lavo and 4 shirts and a pair of shorts from Express for $49. Yes, I said Express. I cant even believe I went in the store, but Jamie convinced me that my little incident with their customer service had been over a year ago and it was time to give this new location a change! I still swear never to step foot in the Galleria location again! Anywho, the sales are AMAZING right now. You should definitely check them out!

Saturday night we went to a BYOB italian restaurant for Kate's birthday which was AMAZING! This little who in the wall called Capilinis turned out to be the BEST little resturant we have found in FOREVER! The food was good and not too pricey and the atmosphere was really fun! After, we had people over from drinks and then everyone went out. I snuck off to crash shortly after 12.

Sunday consisted of football and the couch and it was absolutely PERFECT.

Now Im off to meal plan for my week and gets some work done.

For the record, not drinking and yeast free/sugar free lifestyling really tests a person's discipline. It took everything inside of me not to drink mimosas at brunch Saturday morning and from devouring a chocolate brownie and icecream. That my friends is discipline.
