Happy Monday!
We spent the weekend in Dallas celebrating our friend's birthday and Christopher's company Christmas party.
We spent the weekend in Dallas celebrating our friend's birthday and Christopher's company Christmas party.
Both were a hit!
Hope your weekend was equally as entertaining.
Last week I received our Christmas cards in the mail and immediately my heart smiled!
I LOVE CHRISTMAS CARDS.
I LOVE CHRISTMAS CARDS.
Absolutely EVERYTHING about them!
I love that they are "good mail" aka NOT bills.
I love that most are personalized these days.
And most of all I love that they send love and joy to our closest friends and family.
Well over Thanksgiving I was telling someone that I was super excited to receive my Christmas cards so I could send them out and they informed me that Christmas cards are dying tradition.
Immediately my heart cried a little.
Even though I hate it, I definitely think they are right.
People just dont send Christmas cards the way they use to and I think its so sad.
I can remember being a little girl and checking my mail with my mom and finding a couple cards every day. We would tape them to this mantle over our bar and look at them throughout the season. There were tons by Christmas day.
As the years have passed the number was shrunk drastically.
I want to save this tradition!
Its SO amazing and spreads love and joy and absolutely should be saved.
So go buy Christmas cards and send them to the ones you love!
I promise it will bring a smile to your faces!!
Here's our card this year!!
Hope you love it!
On MONDAY DECEMBER 17th, I will be posting a link up on this blog for you to share your christmas cards here!! So come back and link up!!

ReplyDeleteI do think that WAY less people send Christmas cards than used to but around here, especially people my age, people are big on the photo Christmas cards like the one you posted. We even sent one like that out last year.
ReplyDeleteLove your Christmas card! So cute!! It seems like my group of friends/family LOVE sending cards, so I get a lot, but I totally agree! We ALWAYS send one out! :)

ReplyDeleteI was just thinking the same thing!! So sad, I love getting Christmas cards!! Especially with how creative people are getting with them. So much fun
ReplyDeleteI ADORE Christmas cards as well!!! I am so excited about your link-up that I may or may not have already scheduled my post... :)
ReplyDeleteWe still do cards and this year I wanted to do it super old fashioned.. No photo cards for us this year I bought regular cards hand wrote in each of them stuck a photo of the boys inside and sent them out! It was fun to actually write something inside, although next year I might go the photo card route again :)
ReplyDeleteYour cards are adorable! And I hate that the cards are a dying tradition. I love getting them and sending them. We have snowflake lights that hang with garland over the big window in our living room and I add the cards to that garland as they come in the mail. It's so nice seeing all those cheery faces with the Christmas decor.
ReplyDeleteI loooove Christmas cards! As far as I'm concerned that tradition isn't dieing. At least not with this girl... :)
ReplyDeleteThese are too cute!!! I'd never get my boyf to agree to these. Would I look like the crazy animal lady if I just sent out cards with me and my pup&cat?

ReplyDeleteLOVE LOVE LOVE Christmas cards. We've done them for the past 5 years, and I don't see any reason to stop now :)
ReplyDeletePS- You all look adorable in your cute card!
I LOVE sending/getting Christmas cards! I have done it since CJ and I moved in together. I have yet to do photo cards, but I write lengthy personal messages in all the cards I send [usually 60-75] We won't let it be a dying tradition. Love your card :) Xo
ReplyDeleteI definitely don't think they are a dying tradition!! I actually think they are making a HUGE comeback, since you can add pictures and whatnot. They better not go out of style, I can't wait til me and my fiance actually get our act together and get some sent out!!
ReplyDeleteCute card! I just love Christmas cards with snowflakes, I pick one every year!
