Hey there monkeys!
Only 4 more days left in this week.
Every morning I do a little happy dance because I get 1 day closer to vacation and 1 day closer to this precious girl's baby shower this Saturday!
Cannot believe she'll be a mommy in just a few short months!!!
Seriously blows my mind.
Bet your ass there will be a full baby party post Monday!
In other news, I bought some boots!!
Adorable distressed Born Crown Boots to be specific and I am IN LOVE.
Yes, it is 90 degrees and I will not be able to wear them until November. Lets not talk about that.
Lets talk about this.... I bought them on EBay for 1/3 their retail price.
Yes, they are "gently used" but I could care less!
I slipped these babies on last night and thanked Heaven for their previous owner. Cause that B broke these babies in and took excellent care of them.
Which brings me back to EBay.
Last year I bought these Jessica Simpson boots "gently used" for 1/2 retail price and LOVED them.
Now this year, these.
I am going to go ahead and tell you ladies that you should absolutely keep your eye on the auctions for great deals. Its SO worth it.
You wont be disappointed!
Next you need to know about this Top Coat.
As you all know Ive been on the look out for a reasonable top coat and $8-10 isnt what I call reasonable.
$6 is PUSHING it.
I splurged on this shizz earlier this year and was SO disappointed.
Ive always been as Nicole by OPI fan but their Top Coat sucked.
It took forever to dry and still didnt prevent chipping the way I expected.
Well recently I came across this Sally Hansen Ultimate Shield and FELL IN LOVE.
It dries FAST and seriously keeps your paint fresh and chip free for days.
Thats A LOT coming from this picker.
I also buy cheap polish. Im talking Pure Ice or Forever 21 and this top coats makes it look like I have a legit manicure!
Best $5 EVER spent... You can thank me later!
Last week I get an email from my Bear telling me this scale Im OBSESSED with is currently on Groupon for $29, retails at $80.
Its just a scale so whats the big deal??
Well my current scale tells me something different every time I get on it! And NOT because Ive had 10 twinkies and stepped back on it. You can literally step off of it and get back on and you will get a 5LB difference in the reading.
Well when you are working out and dieting and praying for progress, that kind of shiz from a scale will send you over the edge.
So I was in the market for a new one and Im obsessed with this one!
WIN WIN if you ask ME!
And I just realized that I havent been announcing the winners to the BlogHer Reviews. Its because they contact you automatically and have been selecting the winners through the review posts. Since Im somewhat out of the loop Ive been forgeting!!
I promise to post them here from now on!
The winner to the Lily of France Bra Review was entry #46.
Stephanie @ The Vintage Modern Bride you are the WINNER!!
I have emailed you and BlogHer Sweepstakes should be as well.
PLEASE LET ME KNOW YOU HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED!!!
Ya thats all for my ramblings today!
LOVE YALL!

I’m Kristen. Welcome to All In My Twenties, my place to pour my little heart out on the daily!! This is the world just as I see it. Why dont you kick up your feet and stay awhile?!

I am dreaming about boots too. It's in the 90s here as well, and all I can think about is sweaters, scarves, and boots!!
ReplyDeleteI started buying cardis and long sleeves already, fully aware that if I wore them now they'd be disgusting in about 5 minutes. Come to mama, Novemberrrr!
ReplyDeletethanks for the heads up about the top coat because i am not one to buy expensive nail polish, so decent top coat will do the trick for me. :)
ReplyDeleteLove your new boots! I swear Born boots are crazy comfortable on our feeties! They are such good quality, plus sounds like you got them for a steal! Awesome :) I need to start searching for new boots, I will be checking out eBay for sure.
ReplyDeleteI need those boots. I'm really not in any hurry for summer to be over as I am perfectly content spending my weekends in a bikini, however, those boots are amazing! I guess shopping ahead of time can't hurt anybody right...?
ReplyDeleteSuch a great find on the boots! I always want to buy stuff from e-bay (shoes & such) but, I'm scared that the seller isn't legit or the product isn't as good as they say. Do you have any suggestions for buying off e-bay?
ReplyDeleteI definitely need to invest in that top coat! My nails have been chipping like no other lately, seriously minutes after I paint them! Thanks for the recommendation! :)

ReplyDeleteThere is NO shame in forever 21 polish! I usually use that all the time and it's great! Decided to splurge and get a mani at a salon...which chipped the next day. Call me cheap, but my cheap polish doesn't chip!
ReplyDeleteP.S…I NEED that scale!!! =) Mine does the EXACT SAME THING!!! Too funny! Varies 10 pounds in one single step! =) Usually I just go with the one I like best! Good Times!
ReplyDeleteI looove that top coat, it's the only one I've ever used! And I totally buy the cheap polish too! I splurged once on like a $9 bottle and was totally unimpressed!
ReplyDeleteYou may be surprised about Fall this year; today in Dallas I'm actually wishing I had a jacket (granted I get cold very easily). I know Houston is south of Dallas and a BIG temperature difference, but maybe when you're in Dallas you can wear them earlier. They are ridiculously cute, don't you just love saving $$$$?!
ReplyDeleteThat scale looks legit...might have to purchase!
ReplyDeletexoxo
I bought those boots last fall (sadly I fell in love with them at Nordstrom's and they wouldn't let me pay 1/3 of the price..who knew?) and they are to die for! You already love them, but you will love them more come fall, I promise! They look adorable with skirts and high boot socks!
ReplyDeleteKait
Oooh I like that scale!! Do you have a link to the groupon deal?
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love the boots you got. Isn't Ebay the best for stuff like that?
ReplyDeleteIm praying for some new boots this winter. I havent bought new boots for two years!
ReplyDeleteI hate scales, but I have one and one day I am xxx, the next day I am yyy....Frustrating!
ReplyDeleteI love eBay! Glad you found some good deals!
Love long sleeves, hoodies, boots, everything for fall! just not ready for the cold weather haha
ReplyDeleteI LOVE that top coat! I have used it for years and people are always thinking that I have a shellac manicure. It's the BEST!
ReplyDeleteI saw that scale and it looked awesome! You definitely need one that will be accurate, so that you can keep updating us on Thursdays ;)
ReplyDeleteOh man, I *totally* agree about OPI top coat. I bought some and after about a month (when the bottle was still just over half full) it turned into sticky goo that I couldn't even use (and yes, the bottle was shut all the way...in fact I usually shut it so tight that I had trouble opening it, haha). Sally Hansen top coat is far superior for sure.
